At a ceremony in London on Friday 23rd June 2006 the Saltire Centre received a prestigious RIBA design award in the education category. There were over 500 projects submitted for awards with only around 50 awards being made. The Saltire Centre is one of only three buildings in Scotland receiving an award in 2006. This is a tribute to the success of the the Saltire Centre project and to the skills of bdp, the architects for the building, and staff of the Curios group, did the interior design for the building, in turning a vision for 21st century learning, library services, and service delivery into an imaginative inspirational building.
